Will Writing Consultant

London or East Grinstead based

Role Outline

Your week will consist of 3-4 days of face to face client meetings. These meetings are mainly conducted on site at the clients’ offices, some home visits, with 2 – 3 regional trips per quarter. Roadshows and benefit fairs are also attended at key times during the year. Meetings are booked and organised by our central reservation team. 1-2 days per week from home for client information, drafting documents etc. Training and meeting days are hosted at our HQ in East Grinstead.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-arranged face to face meetings with clients

  • Undertake additional client meetings via phone or Skype when necessary.

  • Follow up with clients after initial meeting to obtain any outstanding information and answer any questions so that draft Willsand subsequent Final versions can be issued.

  • Update CRM regularly with any follow up correspondence.

  • Preparing and registering LPA forms.

  • Assistance and attendance at client roadshows - promoting James McKenzie’s service

  • Regular regional client meetings outside of London (usually 1-2 per month). Overnight stay may be required

  • Further development of knowledge and skills via additional studies and qualifications may be required.

  • Attend and actively participate in scheduled staff meetings in the HQ.

Desired Skills

  • Degree in Law, Probate, Wills

  • Experience in the Will Writing industry

  • STEP qualified

  • CILEX

  • Confident in face-to-face meetings with clients

  • Highlypresentable professional

  • Excellent interpersonal & organisational skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Adaptability

  • Well-travelled– punctual, comfortable and capable of traveling within London etc

  • Clean driving licence

  • London or East Grinstead based

Salary depending on qualification and relevant experience.
